Our paternal Grand father Late.Sri. Kopalle Gopalakrishna Murhty's elder brother Late.Sri. Kopalle Venkata Ramaiah was an eminent Ayurvedic Doctor who was very kind and caring towards his patients, treated their ailments very successfully and accepted "little sums" offered, for which our grand father was satisfied gracefully. By nature, the humanist in him was even greater than the Doctor in him. He practiced Ayurvedic medicine in his village GUDIWADA (Near TENALI) JAGARLAMUDI etc., of GUNTUR District of Andhra Pradesh. Our greate grand father had few acres of land in KOPALLE village and thus our SURNAME. Dr.Kopalle Venkata Ramaiah well-versed in Telugu, Sanskrit and English. Dr.Kopalle Venkat Ramaiah is known to have cured successfully an "eye patient" rejected by a MADRAS hospital as incurable blindness. Dr.Kopalle Venkata Ramaiah passed away in 1952 and all the families of the whole village Gudiwada where he lived, paid a "thrilling and emotional tribute" and mourned his death by foregoing meals for the whole day for attending his "cremation ceremony" with utmost respect. Only sucking babies and nursing mothers had their formal HALF-meals in a disheartened mood, such was the majesty of his profession. Unfortunately, he had no children. Late. Sri.Srirama Murthy assisted his elder brother Dr. Kopalle Venkat Ramaiah in his medical practicing. Dr. Sri. Sri Rama Murthy became equally efficient doctor under his brother's able guidance and instruction. With great pride, we mention the name of Late.Sri. Kopalle Siva Kameswara Rao (S/o Late.Sri. Kopalle Ganga Raju) a senior Telugu lecturer in PITHAPUR RAJA"s College, Kakinada, East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh, India. Sri Pattabhi Ramarao Former Education Minister of A.P. was his old student. It is also known that Sri. Kattamanchi Ramalinga Reddy was his contemporary poet of eminence. Late.Sri Kopalle Siva Kameswara Rao has written and published books 1. "Vidura Neethi" (in Telugu)" and 2. "The Aryan Home" in 1957 (in English), which was reprinted by Sri. Kopalle Shanker Rao in 2003 and also in Apr, 2015. The Book published in 2015 was released by The chaiman "Indian Council of Historical Research" at Salarjung Museum.
